La Fonderie is located, as the appropriate French name suggests, in the old foundry in Malmö, which has been carefully renovated to house, among other things, this French gem.
The building was erected in 1910 for the casting of machine parts for the then nearby shipyard's ships.
At La Fonderie, Paris meets Malmö with French classics such as escargot, moules and carefully selected wines. Lunch, dinner and cocktails in a unique & nice relaxed environment. Stellan Colt, who also runs Bjerred Station, is behind the venture.
The kitchen is fully equipped with refrigerated furniture from Haglund industry such as under-counters, blast-chillers, cabinets and the French wines are kept perfectly tempered in specially adapted wine displays made of stainless steel with dark wood bases to match the rustic interior.
