The manor was built in 1919 by Countess Signe Sparre, mother of the famous Swedish writer Birgit Th Sparre. At the very top under the roof, with a view of the lake Åsunden, Birgit wrote most of her famous novels in the series “Estates around the lake”.
Today one can come here to play golf, spend the night and enjoy fantastic food at the restaurant housed in the beautifully preserved and tastefully renovated manor.
The restaurant is run by the chef’s duo Carl Kindblom and Jacob Torstensson, both with a background at some of the world’s most prestigious restaurants.
With their passion for food, using mostly local ingredients, combined with an eye for detail and presentation they together create unique dining experiences you won't soon forget.
The restaurant has a custom-built wine display and refrigerated counters dressed in custom carpentry to blend into the beautiful historical environment. The wine display is finished in black with hand wrapped leather handles and oak shelves.
